First snowboarding video shot with HVX

That was a fun video.
What did you shoot with? HD or SD? Did you do any colour correction? I'm really getting excited about this camera and looking forward to purchasing it sometime this month!

Thanks. It was almost all shot at 60 fps, recording at 24pn. The "real-time" stuff you see is all sped up.

I didn't color-correct anything, save of course the black and white at the beginning.

How clean is going from 60fps to 24fps real time? The math isn't really that clean, you can't just skip every other frame. So what exactly is going on when going from 60-24 and is it noticeable?

Really clean, it's called overcranking your footage.

it's not really going by math, exactly.

overcranking in 60 fps is simply just recording 60 frames per second and then playing it back in 24 frames per second. So let us say that we have one second of 60 fps footage. Since there are more frames within that one second than having 24 fps footage, playing it back in a format of 24 fps allows you to see 60 fps footage in 24 fps motion, therefore creating that sense of slow motion.

I dunno how to say it any better. I'm not exactly the best at explaining overcranking and undercranking.

Fantastic quailty, good work there dude !!!

Was it filmed originally in 1080 or 720 resolution ?

I'm not talking about shooting 60fps and playing back at 24fps. I get that. What I'm asking is that if you shoot something at 60fps and then you want to play it back at the normal speed instead of slo-mo or go between real time and slo-mo in a single continuous 60fps shot, theres to to be a way to skip frames from 60fps to get it down to 24fps "realtime". However, the math to skip the frames isn't very clean between 60 and 24.
