First slowmo test!!

Good stuff, real slow motion is hard without a very high frame rate camera. If you used the 60i function, correct me if i am wrong but slowing it by 50% and producing a final video @ roughly 30fps should be possible and should look good. However the subjects of your film are a breaking glass bottle (which looks ok) its rather jumpy and ghostly. The lighter looked slightly choppy. Read up on several threads here on getting good slow motion from a DVX i am sure there are decent ways to do it, It often is a helpful tool to use.

Cheers

yea im sure theres much more i could do i jsut have researched it super deep yet i jsut got giddy and wanted to try it today haha, but thanks for the ffed back man, jsut a question but when u say slow it by 50% are you talkin about in final cut pro u go t to modify/speed and change that right or is there another way that i jsut dont know about, and how would u produce a final video at 30fps would u capture it in a 30 fps timline?

I found i can get 25% speed from shooting interlaced footage and slowing it down in vegas, any slower than that and it starts to get choppy.

cool yea i messed with it more and it was smoothest at 35% to 40% i captured it in a 24p timeline so im guessing that if i captured it as normal 60i then i could go slower and get it smoother? correct me if im wrong

Not too bad. I still say that if shooting true frame independint overcranked slow motion isn't avalible, AE's pixlemotion works best.

the 60i trick works but it cuts your vertical resolution in half which sucks. the slomo in AE is great but if you don't speak AE, try re:vision twixtor. super smooth slomo.
