Thanks guys, on a flight now - will have video and a whole slew
mod pics from Sony booth at NAB with the whiffle berry or knuckle bunny
or some such new side grip on the FS700
I just got back from nab so I may have missed your mail in the rush Khachick- no worry- you are on the list of the first 25. We got a lot of interest at nab and I actually refused checks until settling on price and configurations. I think we have approx half the reservations in our first run filled. Khachick I think you are actually serial number 001 if you want it. I replied to a priv message here on DVX user- did you get that?
their booth was deep with products, presentations and interactive hands on stuff
this booth was packed open to close every day I was there
my top handle on display above. below is the live stage where the FS700 was at one end and the F65 at the other. two cool cameras in very different price brackets (that seem to get closer in function every day)
Models and dancers where here on a lit stage to bring some optic pop factor
The new Knucklebunny along with the 16x9 top handle.
I was wondering: I read somewhere that your new awesome handle will work on the FS100. Will the rod mount in the picture above also come with a attachment option to connect to where the side handle originally connects to the FS100, since the FS100 doesn't have a arri rosette? And if so, will the single-rod-for-side-handle-thingy be sold separetely if I want to connect it to my FS100, and then put the sidehandle on it using the female 1/4 clamps you sell on your site? And if so: how much would such a part cost?
Your producing great products, just what we need. Good work!
On the road but quickly- no. With the 100 this will require 15mm Rods I think.
I could adapt a fitting but would not trust the plastic on camera to hold up. Coming
off my new FS100 cheese plate might be a good option tho as it has side
Taps and overhangs the body slightly. Interesting question! And I may be wrong about
everything!
I'm waiting to get the prototype back from Sony right now which should be any day. Have met with engineers and carver and we are going ahead with 25 units for shipping in 6-8 weeks. I already have about a dozen sold. It's moving fast! Canon wants to talk to me now, having it control the FS700 for Sony at nab was pretty good proof of concept! We are making a couple mods based on nab feedback from many DP/OPS who used it. Very slight mods. We are making it slightly thinner for small hands and changing the placement of the joystick slightly.
