First film completed on the 7D....

Looks great. Excellent sound work. What was your method to record the voices? Very good form all around. you know your craft as far as putting this together and having it look and sound professional. You say this is your first film on the 7D. How much other production experience do you have?

Very well done!

I liked how you framed the interviews, it captured my interest. The interview audio was quite good. Just to hear the persons voice and a bit of the background without it being distracting. The slow pace and edits were good. With the subject matter you had, it was paced properly. Good work!

The pacing was appropriate and many of the technical aspects were well-done. However, I found that I wanted a bit more by the end. This felt like a preface; perhaps that was your intention. But again, good solid work.

I agree I wanted to see more by the end...but this was very well done.

What lenses and audio setup did you use?

The brief we were handed was 3-5 minutes, although I felt we could have gone longer I think I'm happy enough with the final project that I don't want to go back and risk jeopardizing the quality that's already there, so I've kept all the rushes but for now it's a case of moving on to the next project.

It was all shot using a thrifty fifty which I picked up the same day as the camera. The sound was recorded on a Marantz PMD-660 using an AT rifle mic. Then I mixed it all in pro-tools.

looks great, well done. A little too close on the close ups for my taste- medium close ups feel more natural to me. I tend to find viewers start to pay attention to things like zits, wrinkles, moles when you get that close- particularly in HD. I would want them to stay focused on what they are saying. Just my opinion though

Otherwise well crafted- looks like something I might see on IFC or the Sundance Channel.
