1DC: Firmware

[Mestizo Devon]

Don't know if this has been discussed, but has the 1DC gotten any video improvements through firmware or were they all photo related. At this point in the game do we think Canon will let the firmware out for regular download and install?

Current firmware update is 1.3.9 (January 28, 2015). I just updated my Canon 1DC firmware today (Canon Service Center, Costa Mesa, CA) at the Canon 5DS/ 5DS R "Meet and Greet Event". Here's a link to the fixes for the 1.3.9 Firmware update: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer?pageKeyCode=prdAdvDetail&docId=0901e02480e362ee

By the way, the Canon 5DS and 5DS R will be HUGE for Wedding, Landscape, Portrait and Studio Photographers.......

SO... 1.3.9 is the last firmware for the 1DC???
By now the protection period has to be over??? Still need to send in the body to update?

Yes, you still have to send the body to a Canon Authorized Service Center to update firmware.
