Hi.
I apologize if this issue has been addressed already, but I have been away for some weeks and did not check.
Has anybody updated the C100 firmware? Is all running smoothly? I'd like to hear from you before updating mine.
Thank you!

Yeah all good for me too. Have used it extensively since updating!

One thing that is a pain is that it resets all your settings to factory defaults - took me a while to reconfigure everything!

I haven't installed it yet. Can anyone tell me if the added the ability to see the audio levels whilst the the waveform display is up?

You need to back your settings up before performing the upgrade using an SD card - unfortunately I forgot to do this!!

How do you backup your favorites and settings? And how do you restore them after the update?

To back up your settings go to the main menu > Other Functions > Transfer Menu/CP > Save to SD. To restore them you will see Load From SD under the same menu. :)

Thanks Drew. It seems easy enough even for me ;)
I will do that in the next few days.

I upgraded to the latest firmware about 2 weeks ago and it went well, however when I was using the camera yesterday at my house while my family put up the tree, I tried using the push one-time autofocus and it seemed to have problems locking in on the Christmas tree. It would start to focus, adjust, then stop while it was blatantly blurry. I repeated this 3-4 times and it finally got it. But a few minutes later it wasn't accurate again. I tried on a few other items that had decent contrast and it was inconsistent again, where I am sure it used to be able to focus.

To be fair, it seemed like it was not completing the cycle. It normally does 1-2 large adjustments to get close, and then does minor tweaks for the last few seconds before it is locked on. Before when it would fail, it would try longer and then not be able to get it. This time it just stops about 1/4 of the way, and it is clearly not in focus at all.

Anyone have any ideas? I don't normally use this feature, but I have found it helpful in certain "run and gun" scenarios where I need help getting a focus.

Thanks for any insight.

I noticed exactly the same thing yesterday auto focus is not working as it did. I'm glad you've noticed this too as I was about to ignore it and put it down to that's how it always was, light, f stop etc making it harder to focus. Well it wasn't this is something new and it happened all day, random shifting back and forth and not doing a proper hunt. Exactly as you describe. It's either C100's are allergic to xmas trees or something's going on.

Also I can no longer use shutter speed 1/48, it flickers slightly. It never used to, in the past 6 months of owning i've always used 1/48. Now I use 1/50, it's not really an issue but it's something i've noticed happening only recently (since update)

Thanks for the reply. Can anyone else check and confirm if they are getting this strange behavior? I know autofocus is not big on here, but if someone else can test it......that would be great. This feature saved my butt a few times filming in a dark reception hall......it nailed the focus dozens of times in that environment and now seems to have trouble in a well lit area.

Anyone else???
