GH2 Firmware Update

I just bought my GH2 and need to install the 1.1 Update because what I got was the 1.0 Firmware from B&H. I know that it was fresh stock because they were out and I had to wait for delivery. On the Panasonic website, they are very specific about saying that the size of the downloaded file must be exactly the same as the size they give you on their site. Furthermore, they say that if the two figures are not the same, to download again. I have now downloaded the GH2 Upgrade of December 2011 FIVE TIMES and I cannot get the numbers to match. In all cases, Panasonic is quoting 15,601,228 on their download site, and the zip file I am getting produces 15,599,104. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks in advance. Jim

Just get over it and install the damn thing. If it is on panasonic's website, there's a 100% chance of it being the right download.
They may have done a quick change in the install file (recompressed, bug fix,...)
You may also like to try with a different unzipper program...

I just upgraded the firmware yesterday and all went smooth - just make sure that your battery is fully charged. I think it took a total of 5 minutes and I was up and running. I downloaded from the support/driver section from the panasonic shop website. Also downloaded the PDF of the step by step instructions.

You're right. It was merely a matter of having the cojones, really. I did it and I'm done.

The Gh2 update is pretty safe. People do it multiple times in a day on this forum for the Hack testing and nothing bad really happened.
