firmware update

I just saw this. I don't know how truthful it is.
http://nikond90plus.com/firmware-updatenikon-d90-firmware-upgrade-coming-week/

Next week Nikon in expected to release a new firmware update for the Nikon D90, not too many improvements, but any are always welcome:

* Some interface improvements
* Also an ISO tweak.
* Improvement in the d-movie compression blue channel’s compression is too high), there will be a compression rate selector within the menu

Although there’s nothing that done about the Jello Video thing, sorry to hear about that but It’s a hardware problem, that will stay be there even in the next couple of generations of SLR with video capabilities.

As you can see this new Firmware for the Nikon D90 doesn’t improve things a whole lot but a new firmware release so soon after the release shows that Nikon is taking care of the Nikon D90 owners.

i think what they mean when they say
"we don’t have a specific date but we are working on it" That they may make these changes with the D400, and that is what i am hoping for so hopefully we'll have either the D90 firmware upgrade, or these issues will be sorted out with the D400.. Or in the best of both worlds, they will provide solutions for the both of them.

You guys are easy to impress! They might be working on it, but that particular letter is surely a fake!

a) Nikon would have made an announcement
b) a support member would sign with his/her own name (nothing like "The Nikon Team")
c) it would have been confirmed several times in the meantime
d) the fact that some random guy sent it in via contact form, doesn't make it any more credible

It's healthier to believe in santa claus... :shocked:
