WTF no option for 30P? Not good for slow mo. wheeeewwww.... i found it - switch to NTSC it's there. i was in PAL - - pal doesn't have it

probably a great market research tool for canon - to find out how many 5ders are using thier camera for serious video

A 180 degrees shutter is actually a good approach to start from. It will avoid any potential flickering in PAL land, as well, other issues. Aside the usual aesthetic argument, as for example if you'll try 3D.

Take a look on this thread and consider they won't synch through the audio, the method you must have without any sort of genlock ;-)

Yup, got the upgrade last night. Good job Canon. As for shutter, 180 equals approximately 1/48th so the closest would be 1/50th. Now if Canon really wants to make us happy they would add that OR at least a 1/48th setting in video. Plus audio monitoring while shooting, VU' left on and so on and son on....
All in all very glad I bought when I did, only had to wait three weeks for this.
