Firmware Hack For Speed Ramping...????

[Mike Krumlauf]

I know someone hacked into the HVX for more frame rates, but wouldnt it be super awesome if us HVXusers could ramp like the Varicam???? Is it possible to have it done?

[THoff]

Nope.

The frameware hack doesn't involve firmware modifications, something that would need to be done to support ramping. Unless Panasonic gives it to us, it won't happen.

You could shoot in 60p and ramp in post.

I know, that is not the same coolness as a varicam...

Motion 3 has a great ramp behavior. Uses Shake's algorithm.
