Well I finally got my 7D and now Im looking to update the frimware.
I dont have a CF memory card reader so I am trying to transfer the firmware file to the root of the memory card by connecting the camera to the computer.
I have one of those Sandisk Pro Extreme cards. When I plug the camera into my Windows7 x64 its recognized fine. But when I try to transfer the file to the card, I get a pop up message stating I dont have permission to do so.
Anyone know what could be the problem? Are these cards Write protected or something?
