Firmware 1.33 do I already have the hack?

Sorry for a real newbie question.. I bought a GH1 camera from Taiwan which now have the 1.33 Firmware. Do I have the hack already installed?

How can I see that I have the hack installed on my camera?

Can I change the settings for my AVCD? Do I do that with PTool and upload a new firmware or how does it work?

Is it correct that every time I change my settings I need to use Ptool and do a .1 version nr upgrade on my firmware and then load it into my camera or can I change the settings on the fly?

Cheers and thanks for helping

Where did you see the 1.33 version? Are you checking this from service mode menu?

Did you buy new or bought a hacked unit?

I presume you are going to hack the camera, so the best option would be to apply the hack using PTool with the changes you fancy. You need to download the 1.32 version of firmware from Panny web site. If you select Version Compare patch for each hack, you need to increment version number only first time (2 or a higher number in your case).

yes I checked the service menu and I bought it new but the guy i Taiwan who sold it wrote me in bad english that he had hacked the camera to get english menu´s...

I´ll try to hack it using Ptools myself to be sure...

super thanks for helping.. So you update your firmware each time I want to do any changes...
So if I try differenet setting I guess some of you have 1.48 or so...

I hacked my camera using lpowell .ini file and it all went ell atleat I think so.. Can´t test to shoot anything yet since I am waiting for my lens adapters...

My camera reverted to japanese so I had to choos englis and then did alot of adjustments which I think will be good for shooting video..

When I turn off my camera and later turn it on again all of my settings are gone and its Japanese again... ?

Did I do something wrong when I made my upgrade?

Does it have anything to do with the "version incremen" (which I set to 2) and prevent version compare both of them were checked...

And I know have verion nr 0.0

That's rather strange thing with the language issue. May be someone else can help you as I have not played with it.

If you use Version Compare, there is no need to use version increment from now on.

In my Reliable In-Camera Playback Patch, Version Increment is set to 1 in order to enable you to install it over the original v1.32 (or v1.22 for GF1) Panasonic firmware. Black_Ste correctly changed his Version Increment to 2 in order to install the patch over the v1.33 that was in his camera.

While Version Increment isn't necessary for reinstalling patches, keeping it set allows you to optionally reinstall the original Panasonic firmware and switch back to a patch at anytime without problems.

True, it make sense for a downloadable setting apt for both first time or repeat hack. I was thinking he is going to punch in his own values.
