Firewire Through Cam Out Component to HD Monitor?

I just confirming that it is NOT POSSIBLE to take a firewire feed out of a HD sequence in FCP to the cam, and then out the component at the same time to monitor the timeline on a HD monitor?

I thought that this throughput wasn't possible, but someone says that Panasonic was doing this exact thing using Firewire output at NAB.

nope. i tried it. it wouldn't do it in DVCPRO HD. it only does DV pass through

Not possible.

You can output s-video or composite as a pass-thru, but not component.

You can firewire from FCP and watch it on the cam's LCD, but you can't go that next step and output component to the monitor.

The cam gets too hot for that pass thru.
