Firewire not showing DVX100b!!!!

I took it to a local computer store and told them my issues. They pulled out an OLD laptop with Windows and it didn't connect. I don't know what version of windows it was and they didn't come off as very bright. Sooooo, next try.............

for some reason its not showing for me...but if this is the same vid u posted in the music vid section then i really liked it. However I would really try to get better at exporting for the net and using vimeo if i were you. A combination of those really tore this apart qualitywise...luckily it was still a very strong piece. the last shot looks like a totally different camera, exporting settings and all. that shot looked nice. how come the others werent better in quality?

It was dark and my son shot it all. I didn't give much help or advice to him. Plus the heavy load I was carrying had me exhausted after hours of hiking! I'm still editing and playing with settings for export. I want a grainy film look in the end. I don't have the quicktime pro export option. I'll try another flash export with higher quality.

yeh i can understand the dark issues. dont get me wrong though...i;m only talking about the pixelation and stuff cuz of the export and youtube...i like how it was shot. so props to ur son. there's a CU shot in there of ur face while u where holding the things in ur hand..really good shot.

what do u edit with?

I have the Adobe suit with Premiere pro CS2. I can't open AE anymore...whole other issue!
My son did good but I DID tell him to give me nothing but tight CU shots! :) Still playing with export settings right now.

Cool, great look and no ugly jaggies! I just downloaded, from a link on Vimeo, a compression program from handbrake.fr
I can't believe how fast it compresses! I'm waiting for Vimeo to email me that I can view my video. We will see if the quality is good!!!!

That's funny, I am so burnt out on the song and video that now all I see is the color of beer!
I'm super excited about this www.handbrake.fr utility I found linked on Vimeo. It's been processing images in minutes where I was waiting hours with Adobe Premiere!!!!! And they look really really good!
