Firestore to FCP problem

Ok I'm pretty new to using both the Firestore and FCP so my mistake is more than likely rather boneheaded. I recorded some 480 30p footage the other day on the firestore in the P2 format. When I go to import the footage into FCP it wont recognize the clips. There are other P2 clips on the firestore that I shot that show up but not the recent files Im trying to import. I know the files are there I can see them but I'm not able to select them. To work around this I tried to just use the capture now method but that doesnt seem to be working for me either. I can see my footage playing back fine on my preview monitor but FCP is telling me no video signal is present on my capture tool. Any thoughts?
