Just got my HVX and was planning on waiting and just shooting SD on mini dv, but I got a couple of weddings to do and think I better get something to at least shoot DVCPro50 on. My questions are: Do you need a P2 card when using a Firestore or can you just shoot straight to the Firestore. Also I'm looking into the firestore just for the fact of not being able to dump footage from P2 cards (no laptop). Anyone using a Firestore with no problems. I'm aware of the firewire cable issue (fragile), but not to concerned about that. Also should I shoot in HD and downrez for DVD or just shoot DVCPro50?
