Firestore duplicating footage

Not so clever
Seems as if I'm getting duplicate footage when I record to a firestore. The same clip will play out 1, 2 even 3 times on a clip. It's odd, can't figure out why it's doing that. I'll try to get a clip online to demonstrate what I'm talking about, perhaps in a few hours once I get back to my studio.

Anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it?

A clip playing out on a clip? Do you mean looping?
 
Are you recording in the MXF format, or QT? If you are recording MXF, are you using the ORGANIZE P2 function? How do you ingest the material into your editor?
 
The firestore breaks your clips up into 2gb chunks, and the spans them together on import into FCP.

If a a record a long interview, it might show up as 3 separate clips on the firestore.
