Just had a FS-100 firestore(250gb) handed to me for editing in Avid MC(vers 3.1) , DVCPro HD 1080i/60 shot to from a HPX 170. The problem is the p2cms shows the the shots on the 2nd partition of the drive as one long clip even though this is not the case. The shots spanned both volumes on the firestore and the first partition seems to be normal but the second partition showed up as one long shot. The shooter took dozen of shots through out the day which he said should have been broken into different clips.
I "organized the footage as P2" before viewing on my MacPro in the p2cms program. There are a number of text memos on the clip, evidently generated by the firestore. It seems each text memo may be marking the different shots, though I'm not sure. When bringing into Avid, the clips appear to be broken into separate clips and named correctly (though many shots span several clips due to the 2 gb limit of firestore). Anyone know why the p2cms software would show just one long clip(55 mins) with all the text memos on the 2nd partition of the firestore? Could it be a setting inadvertently changed?
