Firestore 100 Log & Transferring Problems.....

I shot some footage like any other normal day and on my 2.0 dual G5 I always have problems in the Log & Transfer window with my FS100. On my Powerbook G4 no problems, but I don't like having to transfer thru my Powerbook every time.


The problem

In the log & transfer window under status it's showing a red octagon exclamation mark, and gives me a little spinning ball action and then moves on to the next clip. Is it my verison of FCP (version 6.0.5) on my G5 or something with maybe the upgrades from a pervious version of FCP... Do I need to delete a plist file and start over .....




Is there any others that are having the same problems as me ?

If so please help me out, I can't stand this...

Do you have FXFactory or Perian install on that G5?

Uninstall Perian if you do, and what version of FXFactory, if you do.

I have had this, I think it is just telling you it has not captured the file. When I see this I shut the computer down. I then open a beer and drink it. Turn on the computer and capture one file at a time, and then increase the capture files once the computer is happy. It appears the spinning of the hard drive is slowed down and can't keep up? What I explained to you works for me every time that happens. I don't question it. Pissing off the computer make it worsey.:grin:
