I'm going the rank of the P2 shooters, just ordered a 170 from spec-comm. Thanks to all who contribute to this site, great info. Can't wait to get it.

I'm a long time avid editor, I can't wait to go to a file based format. By by tape!
 
Thanks, I've been shooting with a Sony v1u at work and I'm just tired of the mini dv thing. I need more, esp. if i'm going to improve what I do. Ready for all the options the 170 offers plus I've been editing on Avid for 10+ years this will make a nice addition to the system I put together at home.
