4:2:2 ???
All of the newer ones are 4:2:2 10-bit, although the 10-bit output of the AF-100 is 8 bits padded out to 10.

One thing that thwarts the hack progress is nobody wants to tear into a $4000 camera. Wonder if there is one out there with say, a busted lcd screen, that could be used for experimentation purposes?
I would consider putting the 3,000? You mean you'd consider putting UP the 3,000? Well, there we have it - I think!!I would consider putting the 3,000 dlls. I just would first want to know if the Hack would surpass the Samurai Purchase (Im talking quality). In what way? How would the hack be different from it and is it really doable???
Fantastic but how much is this worth to you? How much? Let's try and put a number, one benjie, two, three benjie, four...I'd be keen to put a little bit of money towards it.

This AF100 hack question has been going on for quite a while since the emergence of the GH2 hack. Can it be hacked or can it not be hacked? I read your post, saw no swords. The difference? You asked if it can be hacked, a question that's been asked and answered over and over again. So we're trying to move forward to mobilize and see if it's worth Vitaly's effort to hack it for us and there was no point hijacking your thread. It amazes me how i asked a similar question yesterday and the swords were drawn towards me, yet this thread exists and everybody chips in? Whats the difference??
PS., yes I'm all for a hack.
Very good point, but I think we know this. I'd like 4:2:2, 50Mbs +, 10 bit recorded to my SD card. I don't want to deal with clunky external recorders.Out of the box the AF100 is already able to pass 8 bit 4:2:2 uncompressed via the SDI output.
I'm right with you and ahead of you on that. I thought about that but was concerned about the percentage they take, but then again it couldMy broke ass would throw in 200! Kickstarter or indiegogo project anyone?
