PRODUCTION UPDATE: We are NOT giving up on the film. There were problems with making it for the deadline, but we do plan to finish it.

1st draft is done.

I know it's not there yet, so we're in the middle of 2nd draft, after that I send it to my partner on the project who just signed up to DVXuser, she's gonna polish it up.

It has to be mediocre right now, but I wanted a link to the thread in my sig, so expect an updated signature soon.
 
Hey all, not like there's been much buzz around here about this film, but if you check, I haven't posted for around 2 weeks.

On March 9 my computer died, I had to take it to the Apple store, and they decided to REPLACE my harddrive. To make a long story short ALL of my information was lost, and I don't really know how I can bounce back from it. Everything I had on the film that I was going to make is gone, save the first page of the first draft of the script.

I don't know how I can do it again... not that there's not enough time, but that... it's now like a mental barrier of... doing the whole thing again, script, lists, casts, schedule..... agh!

I'm gonna keep plowin through and work again, but I can't be too sure of anything now with this project. Hopefully I'll have something to submit come the festival deadline.

Thanks for the little support this thread has gotten so far - hope I'll be competing with you guys later.

Right, but the programs that I no longer have the discs to, the tons of film information, reference information, pictures, concepts for other films, that's gone too. :(

Sorry to hear about the problem you are having. Deep relaxation and it will all come back to you. Easy for me to say, hang in there bro.

What part of CT are you from? My sister lives in Trumbull.

Hey Zach, sorry to hear about the bad news... but if you do decide to start from scratch, just think about how much better your 2nd version will be. Gotta think positive, man! :beer:
 
Zach - if it doesn't kill you, it only makes you stronger. You have the general story inside your head, start over and for the rest of that reference stuff, shoot, you can pick up any info you need on the internet. Just do it!
 
Sorry about the machine dude... I agree wih tommy; I'm sure you can bounce back. And when you do, you'll look back at this incident and laugh..... maybe
