Final Cut Studio 2 / P2 driver help

We just got through shooting our first short on the HVX 200. The shoot went well. Now we are trying to edit the short on our Mac Power Book. We purchased FCP Studio 2. When we try to install the driver, we get the following error -

"You cannot continue. There is nothing to install".

When we fire up FCP 6, and go to import, we still do not see the Panasonic P2 import option.

Help - someone - please - our frustration level is increasing.

Is it an incompatibility between the older Mac Powerbooks and FCP 6?
Is it a permissions issue?

I hope that we are just overlooking something.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Once the short is cut, we will share. We promise.

Thanks

AFAIR, Panasonic P2 import option is not called that in FC6. It's called something like Log and Transfer. Should be in the same import menu though. And I'm also pretty sure that the P2 drivers are installed with FC6 - as well as the P2 Frame Rate Converter.

Hey Kenn Michael, many thanks. You were indeed right about that. The log and transfer window in FCP 6 is great. It's intuitive and P2 native. Guess it helps to read the manual.
