Final Countdown to a 35mm World

Just wanted to say I just ordered the SGPro complete bundle and I can't wait for it to arrive! I just can't deny how much better it looks compared to everything else out there (just my own personal opinion). As far as light loss is concerned, I believe in proper lighting anyway.

July 11 is a long time from now but good things come to those who wait! Thanks to everybody for helping me out!

Okay, I've had it with the speculation. Who out there has done extensive work with the new Brevis. I posted a thread requesting a review a few weeks back and nothing. So I ask again, somebody, who's used it over at least a week tell us how it performs.

I has so many features I dig, but I can't afford to be a guinea pig right now.

So who's got the goods?

Next week I'll have a full review if time permits. I'm waiting to get my MicroX so that I can do a full shootout...letus won't be included though due to ongoing client work with it.

As far as the packages go, my vote is for SGPro and skip the indifocus. I have SG's new one with the whip accessory port and its a nice alternative to the RR for the money.

Doesn't really matter though because the more you make, the more you spend. Its a vicious cycle that continues even if you were to own a fully outfitted RED or Panavision...theres always another toy just around the corner.

Sadly this is true. It's a VERY hard cycle to break once it gets started. We all know that the current tools available, even with supposed drawbacks and flaws, are enough to get things done but it just doesn't seem to work when you tell yourself that.

Ah well.

Maybe I'll just stay off the boards for a few months after I get the SGpro. It's hard enough to resist temptation as it is! Haha.

Gotta love when the equipment pays for itself.

Shoot some great stuff, ANT.

It's funny, SOME of my equipment has paid for itself, but I do work with this one company (product installation videos. exciting.) and I started before I had a 35mm adapter, and so now that I have one, I still can't use it for those projects because eventually all the videos I did for them will be compiled onto a DVD their making to just be sent out with all their products, and everything needs to have a somewhat consistent look. Ah well. At least my DVX has paid for itself and then some. :)
