Filming objects through windows, glass, etc?

On my last shoot I could not film through car windows, fish tanks, glass cases, etc. with out getting some nasty reflections ( I want no refections ).

So my question is what can I use ( filter ) if any to stop this from happening

Thank you!!

Thru a fish tank I've used thicker black cloth and good old duck tape, works really good almost no reflection.

Go to the shop and buy a polarizer filter, mount it on your camera, turn it until the reflections disappear, job done !

Put some black cloth or black duvetvne behind you. This will kill a multiple of reflections even without a polarizer.

This is a really good point.
A polarizer is a must have in the kit to control reflections, but on a set where you have control over your reflective surfaces, black cloth will eliminate them before they happen. keep a few meters of flat black cloth or black velvet, or black duvetvne in you bag all the time. When shooting out of car windows you can hood it over your head. It also helps pad your gear from getting banged around in the bag.
