filmed this with 60D and kit lens...My DVX 100B got better footage!!!!

Filming with DSLR's is a whole different ballgame - and you pretty much played to all the weaknesses of the DSLR's: handheld, zooming in shot, deep focus, and auto-exposure. Looks like your lens needs a good clean as well!

Treat the camera like a film camera (full manual control, purposeful lens selection, controlled movements, etc) rather than a camcorder, and you'll likely see more of the DSLR magic that people rave about.

yeah. sorry. this is what happens when you try to use a dslr like you would a traditional video camera.
a dslr is a different animal and needs to be treated as such.

Hmm that was not too bad at all- but yeah full auto and a dirty lens would not have been the way I'd have suggested shooting.

I agree.. I didnt use my rig! And took the 35mm off...This was the first time Using my dlsr for this type of run and gun filming.... I Had the kit lens on... Filter "was" clean at the start if the day. I ended up turning auto iso on ...going from outside of the car to the inside was a challenge everytime.

Noah when you say full auto can you explain i set the camera up on full manual..other then ISO..ISO was on auto.....can you possible post a preferred setting setup. I have been experimenting but your input is always appreciated ..Thanks!

There is no "preferred" setting. You need to learn about how focal length, f-stops, ISO, and shutter speed all interact to control exposure and depth of field.
