Filippo Chiesa Video

Agreed. Wow.

I hope FC will chime in here with some information on lenses and camera settings. Really, really nice stuff.

I am pretty happy with what I am seeing...I stand firm with my decision to have pre-ordered. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these babies!

Some shots looks very filming to me. Others instead very video. I find it rather unequal in quality. Beautiful, in general, much better than the others from Japan so far. Just my opinion, anyway.

has to be the lenses used....I see a huge difference when shooting on 5DMKII and using L Series glass and my Zeiss Contax lenses...L Series videoish compared to more filmic with the Zeiss side by side....

Not crazy about the post Tilt Shift effect but otherwise pretty sweet. Color grading much more natural.

Edit: I thought the Tilt Shift was done in post. I stand corrected - I forgot the Hartblei 120mm was a TS lens.

Great footage, looks like it's holding up quite nice after correction and compression, looking forward to seeing the full review, thanks Filipo.

This looks fantastic. The difference in the high ISO footage between this and other footage posted makes it look like 2 different cameras.

Some sickly chromatic abberation issues here but that could be the lens selection. Not impressed by the full-size version... great design for a camera but the chip/dsp/codec department is absolutely asleep at Panasonic.

Matthew is the 'chromatic aberration' that you refer to really a tilt / shift lens?
In his notes he says he used a Hartblei 120mm 1:2.8 Tilt Shift lens - so it's in camera and not post.

Has nothing to do with tilt shift. Chromatic abberation happens in highly contrasted areas, generally along white edges. That being said, I only see one area that show anything at all.

>Chromatic abberation happens in highly contrasted areas,

CA is a property of the lens. In the GH1 Panasonic corrects CA in camera but of course only with known m4/3 lenses.

Very nice video.
