C100: Feedback from using the Canon 10-18 STM with C100 Handheld, Jib, Stabilizer?

I own the C100 and often use it with the 18-135 STM, I have been happy with the results overall, the lens is a good value for the money. Thinking that having the FOV equivalent of 16-28.8mm would be handy for walk and talks, interiors, etc. The 10-18 is a bit slow but the price is right, it is STM and IS. Anyone using it, have any footage they can show from the C100 MKI?

I got one. It's a nice specialty lens for super wide shots. If it's locked down you don't notice the distortion too much, and when in motion it's not as distorted as a fisheye while giving close to that kind of FOV. It's cheap and light. Get one if you need to cover that end of the wides.

ive wondered about this lens too mostly because its really light weight and has STM. for the money its hard to ask for more but its average as i see it but still worth $300 since its a good for that amount of money.

here i selected it compared to the FF 16-35mm 2.8L. you can see that even stopping down on the 10-18 never really gets serious sharp on the outside of the center. this is just a way to compare quality of a good lens to a consumer lens. i consider the 16-35mm 2.8 L II to be pretty decent overall.

i use the Sigma 8-16mm which i like a lot but its heavy and big compared to the 10-18mm STM. i was looking at the 10-18 STM for use on the Nebula gimbal with a 70D otherwise i love the Sigma on my C100.

on my 70D which i only use when i want face detection AF (steadicam or gimbal) the STM are nice because they are "quiet" vs the other canon lenses that make a tick tick sound the whole time they are focusing. not sure if it makes that sound on the C100 with the AF upgrade since i didn't upgrade but it does on the 70D with its DPAF.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have an upcoming project that will involve a lot of shooting inside large vehicles like buses so I thought this lens might be a good way to go. It is probably like the 18-135 STM IS, not my sharpest lens but acceptable in many run & gun situations, especially if I can keep the lens exposed in the F5.6 sweet spot.
