Feature Film

Nice!!!! It is so good I think you should pay a professional trailer editor to edit a trailer for you. I think that will help you get the most money from this if you sell it. I can tell from this preview that it is top shelf but you want to pull as much out of it that you can. You need the excessive speed changes, deep voice with no face, film burns, excessive cuts, excessive dissolves, you know the regular stuff! :)

Thanks so much. The hope is that the film and the trailer get us some money to do all that stuff. We've done several screenings, and it has tested well (though all I see are the problems).

So is the plot about people trying to get out of a room? You might run into legal trouble if it's that close to the saw films.

I doubt it. Saw doesn't have copyright on the plots, only the characters. So if Jigsaw starts showing up then he might have a problem, if not, he's ok.

There have been lots of films about people trying to get out of a room both before saw, and since saw ... and it's true, our film is one of them. A few differences are 1. The ending ... in other words, the who and the why ... and 2. Ours is more of a psychological thriller. How would these 14 different players of different race, age, gender, and background react in this situation?

Pleas keep posting, this looks very good!
Any BG info on the technical parts?
And what are SAG actors, is it a acting school in the US?

I think that SAG is the Screen Actors Guild. The actors association of america (correct me if i'm wrong)

We used two DVX's. One of them was a DVX100 ... no a or b ... so we had to use cinegama a. Also, the original DVX100 wouldn't auto focus when in F5. Each new tape inserted we would white balance on the same surface which was more of an eggshell.

The money was spent on actors ($100 per day), the location ($2000), insurance ($1500), Tape (56x$6), costumes ... makeup ... FOOD ... props ... gas ... taxes and so on.

Keep the comments and questions coming.

Thanks.
