C200: FCPX Workflow

I am trying to weigh between shooting for a project in CRL or not in C200. Please let me know what is the best way to proceed with C200 CRL in FCPX. Has canon updated the C200 FCPX plugin?

Do you always shoot CRL in the C200?
 
The plugin has available for a while. The footage is just like ProRes...nothing to it.

And the flexibility is great even with the basic CC controls within the NLE.

Definitely shoot RAW if you can.
 
100% agree with NorBro. CRL and FCP X are a match made in heaven.
We've shot our entire docu series in CRL and working with the footage in FCP X is effortless and it looks good.
When we get to the point of handing it off to the colorist, I can't wait to see what they will be able to pull out of the image
because I am terrible at CC and grading. A good portion of our footage was shot on the ocean over two years and the ocean
is an ever changing palette of blues, greens, reds, etc.

We obviously don't want or need for it to all match, but to me, some of the
ocean color looks wonderful but a few days, everything ended up having a weird reddish tint to it so it will be nice that we
have such a robust signal for the colorist to work with to make this footage look its best, because just to me, not the footage,
but the actual ocean looked weirdly colored and strange looking for a few of those shoot days.
