FCPro 6 Studio2 ok 4 HDV24p yet?

I looked at the Apple site, but there was no specific HDV 24p Canon/Sony consumer camera support proferred in bold. Does anyone know yet if the new version of Final Cut Pro 6 will do all the deinterlacing of the 24p from the 60i without all the kerfuffle people have been discussing previously?
 
Does nobody yet know if FCP 6 and Studio 2 will be able to automatically seek out the 24p from the 60i, like the Cineform/Vegas workaround - but better?

Or is there any chance of a firmware upgrade from Canon to put 24p flags within the 60i? Would that nip it in the bud and we'd be o.k. with what is on the market now with current NLEs? This is the state of what has been talked about as far as I can tell there is no news!
