FCP P2 Import Problems

Let me explain my workflow ive been using. I start out loading my p2 into my pc laptop than back up to an external harddrive. From there i bring my harddrive to my Mac and load into FCP. For somereason every project that ive shot for some reason i get a problem imp[orting all of the footage into the bin out of the p2 import screen. It turns red and says i can retry but no matter what half the clips wont load in. Ive been editing alot with avid becuase the workflow has treated me good but i have FCp at home and i dont see what the problem can be? Any ideas??
 
If you haven't yet done so, upgrade to FCP 5.1.4, earlier versions had various P2/MXF handling problems.
 
I am SO glad that I am not alone with that import issue. I swear I thought it was me.

Apple is working to fix this.
