FCP 5.0.4
HVX clips shot 72030p, 1080 30p, a few 1080 60i, and a few 72024pn.

Was running tests on the eclipse the other night. I've imported into a fcp project easy setup of 720 30p.

Once imported the 720 30 p clips are showing up at a frame rate of 59.94.
Why?

In order to place them in the timeline without getting the red render bar I had to change the editing timebase to 59.94.
Why?

Is there some frame pulldown step I"m missing.

If you shot them at 720 30P instead of 30 PN then they are in fact 60fps clips.
Use the Panasonic Framerate converter to strip out the duplicate frames and create 30fps files.
