FCP: Color. The 3rd mouse button

So, I went and bought a 3-button mouse to use with Color. I go to program the mouse for "button 3" as according to the Apple Pro Series book "Color" specs. I see no option for "button 3". Is there something else I should be looking for?

It's a Microsoft Intellimouse, if that matters.

I don't have that mouse so I don't know the options, but try setting it to the Middle Mouse Button if possible.

Have you tried just using the mouse w/Color? I have a logitech MX510 at work and the third button works fine in Color. I didn't program anything or install any drives or anything like that. It just works.

I have a microsoft laser mouse, 3rd button works fine for me too...

i bought another mouse, similar issues. grrrr!!!!!!

i thought i had it set, however when i "middle click" dashboard keeps popping up. in color, or not.

Systems preferences->Expose & Spaces->Expose

At the bottom of the window is where you set the hot key to bring up the Dashboard.
You'll probably also want to re-assign the Expose hot keys so you can use the function keys in FCP.
