FCP boo boo

Okay, I'm an Avid editor. I don't use FCP.

However, a friend of mine wanted to use some 720 30p stuff that I shot on his FCP system.

With Avid, you just dump the video and audio into one MXF folder and Avid assembles it for you and you're good to go. However, unbeknownst to me, FCP needs the last clip file and everything else attached to it.

Unfortunately, I already formatted the P2 card I shot the event on and do not have those extra files that were associated with the MXF media (stupid, stupid move).

So, is there anyway to get FCP to play nice with the mxf files at this point?

Until I figure this out, I'm stuck with exporting QTs for my pal. :crybaby:

Thanks.

Raylight or P2 Log Pro should be able to assist you.

You can also install P2CMS on his Mac, and that'll let him work with the MXF files directly, although it would mean manually sync'ing up the video and audio files separately. But that's a "free" option.

Thanks for the reply Barry. Yeah, I dunno if I wanna spend any money so that my friend can deal with these files. I'll tell him about the install.

Thanks again man!
