Those are beauts. Thanks for sharing them, that last one with him sitting tangled in those bars from overhead I like a lot. The shadows in his eyes draw you in on the second one. Makes you wonder what's up? Don't look good. Breaking out the jib on the stairs... excellent. I'd love to see how these move.
I was really knocked out by Tree of life, talk about a winged witness! That movie definitely had beautiful frames and movement that actually told the whole story, as you describe. There wasn't need for dialog and when there was it was right about THAT moment, not people talking about things that happened or what's going to happen just what's going on right there, like when the father yells at the kids at the table or the stunningly beautiful scene of him squatting... "hit me, come on" and the gentler boy halfheartedly complying. It was so active and so loaded. Very beautiful... the archetypal American father teaching his boy to fight... so much longing and hurt in him. Yeah that movie rocked. There are more abstract aspects of the film that I have to admit seemed a little above my pay grade or something, but that's cool. I just took them in like abstract art. Sometimes I feel something, sometimes not... it's cool.
Jessica Chastain is so great. I watched Take Shelter with her and Michael Shannon...that was one wild movie, and they were both spectacular. She's a kind of perfect actor. She does exactly what's there, fully.
Well for that piece Justice, our plan is to submit it to festivals. It's a labor of love that one because the author tells a story by Plato. The language is a little heightened, and it's a little wordy. The actors were fantastic but it's not an easy piece. It should be together for the spring and then we'll withoutabox a bunch.
