Hans Zimmer: Basically everything...Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean, my personal favorite is The Last Samurai soundtrack. He also did Black Hawk Down.

I really love Thomas Newman. When you have a film like American Beauty, and the music is a charactor in the movie, amazing.

I didn't mention Bernard Herrman, because of not mentioning the too obvious. But, to watch Taxi Driver is like being in the middle of an opera, because of that score.

Hans Zimmer is still my favourite film composer. The Lion King is one of my favourite scores of his. For a man who's done over 110 films, he still really delivers.

Totally agree with Claude Isbell on the Thomas newman thing, I really love Thomas Newman scores, they are haunting and they really do feel like another character in the film.

John Williams is another composer on my list who I listen to all the time.

Then of course guys like Alan Silvestri, James Newton Howard, James Horner, Jerry Goldsmith etc.

And John Carpenter! He has written some cool stuff!
