C100: Faulty Canon C100 MK1

Sometime the buttons on my camera do not work . Tried removing and then plugging in the handgrip but does not work . Then by it's self it starts working again. I also noticed that from time to time the camera date needs resetting. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be the issue ?
Unfortunately in my country we do not have a cano service center.

I've experienced something similar on my C100 Mark II at times. Buttons across the board stop working and it's not in lock position. Typically removing the battery and putting it back in solves the issue.
