fastest way to download footage from C300 into PP CS6???

Using my Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB CF card reader (USB) is taking ages to download just 5 clips that are only 20-30 seconds each of footage.

So, what's the fastest way to download footage from the C300 to your desktop or laptop?

I've been using an old Lexar UDMA USB 2.0 card reader, and it's plenty fast for my purposes - but has also been discontinued. Seems the trend is toward USB 3.0 now, but they should all be backwards compatible with USB 2.0 as well.

I'm not sure about the Sandisk reader you're currently using, but if you make sure that whatever you use is compatible with UDMA, you should have quite acceptable transfer speeds.
 
Yes! That particular reader can not take advantage of the faster UDMA transfer speed capabilities and will take a long time to transfer files. Find a reader compatible with UDMA 6 (also known as High Speed CF), and you'll notice a very significant difference, even if it's still just a USB connection.
 
Yes, it definitely will be faster than your current reader. Looks like a good reader, actually, and the price is tough to beat. Might grab one for myself! Nice find!
