FAST SDHC Memory for the EX1

I wouldn't be interested those no Ultra II's myself, I mean we all like cheap, but we don't need to worry about scraping the bottom of the barrell now do we... ;-)

The Ultra II is only the next card level up from that anyway.

It looks just like the Class 4 card at glasseye, but instead of a circled 4 it has a circled 2. The box says UP TO 15 mb/s.

Interesting, maybe the are a really old version of the card. Oh and the Class 4 arn't 'up to' 15MBps, it is guarranteed sustained 15MBps I think

Please post a pic of the card.

I went to get a 16 GB Ultra II card, and the only translucent card (Trimable) were class 2, they were exactly the same price as the class 4.
Both have the same 15 mb/sec speed. as i stated before, they work up to 48 fps (shooting at 24).

I wasn't tryng to go cheaper, just to get a card that i could trim for my EX1 to close the door.

SanDisk 16GB Ultra II works with the Kesington up to 48 FPS, which is in my point of view pretty good.

Somehow I think that is a misprinted label. The card is clearly the newer design (clear back and shavable etc) but having Class 2 on it is really odd. But hey, if it works, I guess it really doesn't matter.

PS: With my latest version Ultra II, the only other difference I can see is the write protect tab on yours appears blue, where as mine appears much more gray.

Thats the light from outside the window, the tab is gray.

As I mentioned earlier, SD memory is a crap-shoot! (no pun intended for anyone's footage) The Lexar 8Gig. class 2 overcranks fine and can be used in HG mode. The Patriat 8Gig. class 6 won't even recognize the camera (maybe the other way around -- they just don't like each other.) The Lexar 4Gig. expresscard is one of the the fastest off-sony cards I've tested, but the 8 & 16Gig. cards are marginal. I bought a Transcend 32Gig. expresscard and found it to be worthy as a tongue depresser. "You get what you pay for" with a few exception -- Carl Marxx

shut up!

Ok guys, I have:

1) Version: V1.11_0531.
2) Adaptor: Delkin, "correct one" (eFilm).
3) Card: SanDisk Ultra II 16gb, Class 2.

Media error, needs to be restored.

Format: cannot format.

Any thoughts?

herminio you are using the same card but with a Kensington, right?

I can order one "Class 4" card, but I'm scared it won't work... Guy, you've said some Delkins eFilm are not working, right?

Are Trascends 16gb Class 6 working with Delkin?

Thanks!

It may not be that. We have recently become aware there was a modification in the eFilm adaptor during their production changing the controller. I am not sure which way it went (working to not working of vice versa), but one of the versions is the one that is comming up as not working properly. From what I can determine there is no way from the outside to tell which one is which.

Luckily I have family in the US and they come back and forth quite often, I guess I'll read your XxS summary and see what I should buy.

At the moment the best option is probably the MxR adaptor unless you have an EX3 and can find a Kensington...

Do you have an amazon link for a working MxR?

Hmmm wait... MxR isn't that the link that someone posted? Now where would that one be...

It is Class 2, You need at least class 6 to even think about it working.

Please don't confuse :(

Everyone says Class 4 is enough, and herminiocordio says he has my card working!

My problem must be my Delkin...

About "Class 2"

About "Class 2"

I tried 16GB Ultra II Sandisk in my KxS /MxR: no problem recording/coping footage. :)
