Hellou,

I am wandering what kind of solutions are you using when of-loading and backing up the footage shot with odyssey 7q when being on the field.
I plan on using a macbook pro with a thunderbolt port and usb 3.0

What kind of ssd readers are you folks using?

Currently I am looking into something like this
http://cvp.com/index.php?t=product/atomos_ao-atomdck002

and I was wandering if anyone had any real experience with this dock?

Can anyone advise me on any good thunderbolt or usb 3.0 based ssd readers that could be hooked to the macbook pro?

Any suggestions would be very appreciated....thanks

Im usually not using Mac but I did 2 days before - and I got the cheapest "s-ata->usb3" from the store around the corner (14€ inkl. a plastic case for ssd drives ) and it works fine..Ill never cut and paste (move) I allways copy the files, checking if everything copied OK and then deleting..

I use the seagate Stae 128 for thunderbolt and and the Anker USB 3.0 to Sata adaptor for USB 3.0 - I did try some cheaper USB 3.0 adaptors before but they caused problems!

Are there (orr has anyone seen) any ssd readers that are internal? (ie they fit into a slot in the front of the PC like a dvd player. )

As posted on another thread, I'd also recommend using a CRC hashing checking copy utility like the excellent Teracopy. Extra piece of mind that the files have copied successfully and haven't suffered any corruption in the copy.

great advice...thank you....
