photography is very impressive. the opening shot was strong and i really liked the overhead of the girl and the bird to name a few but overall very strong & solid visuals.
soundtrack was unusual, unexpected and powerful...and magical at the same time. unique & fresh!!!
at a glance the model was strong visually but not very interesting *over time* and i felt could have exhibited more emotion or some change-ups in some way to keep me interested. was really ready for a clothing change that i felt was far to long in the initial outfit (with not much new coming from her)...almost lost faith that it would change but finally when it did was welcome. still though would have liked to see her emit more in some way or maybe could have shortened the whole video by 35-50% to avoid the redunancy in her.
aside from my few critics i thought it was impressive just the same. im guessing were not to ask too much about the gear (in this screening room only) but you photography was so finessed plus thought your exposures/grading were solidly intact as far and holding onto your highlights etc. very classy and professional looking to me. *taste*.
so...what camera did you use and also what lenses? loved the dolly shots? looked like a lot more that a slider. just curious.
dont see much that impresses me here but this did very much!
i shooted with a 7d with a 16-35mm 2.8 and a 70-200 2.8, and yes, it was a slider, not a dolly
i completely agree about the staticness of the model..in fact i was supposed to shoot a backstage..so i didn't had much control over all..and very short time...i had to improvise a lot
i really appreciate your comment about the music...it took me a while to figurate out what to compose for it
Fantastic atmosphere created by the images and the music. The color was just about perfect. Aside from the already mentioned redundancy of the model after a while (though the birds make up for most of that) I wasn't crazy about some of the fast edits. Some were very successful (especially the edits with the birds performing actions) but with others the images didn't seem to correlate that well.
