C300: False color on LUT or LOG?

I just got a SmallHD monitor and am interested in using false color to more quickly get accurate exposure. My question is, should one judge false color from the log image or the LUT? For the sake of argument, let's just say I don't care about highlights, etc and will mainly be judging the exposure of a subject or face.

Thanks!

I think it will come down to personal preference but I like using FC on log as every LUT will map mid grey at a different tonal value.

If I am not shooting RAW and monitoring with a LUT that I plan on using in post (especially with no other grading in mind), I would use FC on the LUT. But the best part about shooting RAW is being able to ETTR (that's what I like) and dropping (essentially dialing in) the exposure later in post based on the LUTs I choose and/or grading choices I make.
