No, I think you have a problemn Jestorius. You don't even own a DVX camera but you still constatntly prowl these forums and look at information and constantly look for faults. Just go and buy your XL2 and move on, your video business cannot be too busy since you spend most of your time here anyway. Spend the $10,000, you owe youreslf an upgrade from that PD150. Oh yes, video "NOISE", now I get it, who has the problem?

Yes, I think that noise may be from the Photozoom uprez. I noticed that a bit too when I tried but it is not as noticeable when viewing in motion, the stills exaggerate it. You did hurt my baby a bit, but we forgive you

I was never working with demos or game development. Never made one demo. But it's true, there was a lot of amiga crew in Norway. I'm working with animations and video and that time did we allmost everything with only one Amiga. It had a DPS PAR with a capture card, Imagine 3D, Lightwave 3D, DPaint, Scala MM200/400, ADP/Fred etc.
The Digibeta: I don't buy 1 used digibeta for +10k because we don't need it. What we need is to invest ca. 30k before the end of the year. Or we can just take it out and pay the tax. It's 28% + 33% . If I invest it than I spare the first 28% and reduce the next year with 15% and so on. It's ~200 000,- Nkr. It covers 4 DVXs / XL2 / 4 HDV FX1 or 3 Z1(Pd190). All the Pd150s can we sell and the money can we just take out without to pay any tax. It's just administration.
So now you understand that it isn't a rich guy who just showing up with his money.

Yeah, they invented something called Simula 67. A programming language that led to Smalltalk, and the rest is history. That's where Object-Oriented Programming comes from, and without OO, complex programs like modern video editors and computer games would be (probably) impossible.

But I think the history of the art of programming could have been different if functional langages had taken the leadership.
A little bit like vhs and betamax and v2000.
These languages are really powerful but OO won and most of functionnal languages can now handle OO like O'caml.
But for the next generation of computers we can ask the question : Is it still pertinent to make OO with quantum computers ?
