Fader ND and polarizer

Does a circular polarizer work well when screwed on top of the Fader ND style filters?

I read in another post, that someone popped out the polarizer, reversed it then screwed it to the bottom of the Fader ND to make it work. I don't think I'm qualified to pop out a polarizer (I'd probably just break it), so I was wondering if if could just be screwed to the top and if there are any issues associated with this?

Your Fader ND is already two polarisers screwed together.

Adjust it until you're hap[y with the exposure, then begin to unscrew it from the lens and watch the polarising effect on the LCD.
 
Related question: Is a circular polarizer on a UV filter, as opposed to directly on the lens, inadvisable?
