F3 arrived? Post it up here!

Just got mine today with Anton Bouer Battery from my local dealer. I also received the Optimax Nikon adapter from B&H. It is tight, but I tried my 24mm f2.8, 35mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4 and 80-200mm f2.8 with no problems. I'll try some DX tomorrow to see how they fit.

I am waiting for my 18-85mm from Red which I order overnight only find out that they had to re-confirm my address with a late email, so I have to pay for overnight and receive two days later.

I should also be getting this week the AB F3 adapter and Ki Pro Mini.

I have been playing with it and so far so good.

I'll post some pics and clips as soon as I receive the Red zoom and I film with it.

Thanks nsoltz

Just got my RED 18-85mm T2.9. It is a monster. I was hoping to use old 15mm LT, but the FF doesn't fit, my matte box is too small. Oh well, What can you do?

Any suggestion?

You need 19mm rods abd support, or at least 15mm studio support for a big zoom like that. The element technicha hybrid plate is the best.

Here are some pictures. Rig is coming later this is just the camera & Lens.

Douglas, Timur is right , I just got the Allstar shoulder support 15 mm LT with the 19mm baseplate ( for my 20-100mm Cooke ) works well and switching from sticks to shoulder is quite fast ! Matte box is an issue though , the only one I can afford now is the O'connor , but it seems to be unavailable . I am trying to convince the Trusmt guys to make one with a 150mm aperture ( they have already a 140mm and they have their own shop so I think they can make some stuff is there is a market )
Cheers

Here is my new rig for run and gun documentary shooting. We have some Zeiss CP.2's to cover our longer focal lengths, but are using the LWZ.2 for hand-held work. Kit includes, S-logged F3, AJA Ki Pro Mini, Shape BP6000 baseplate and handles, Zeiss LWZ.2 15.5-45, Anton Bauer batts, Zacuto EVF and Chrosziel matte box and follow focus.
Is there any setting that you have to do to get AB power to both the camera and KPM? When ever I power more than one, either camera or KPM ishuts off.

I am still evaluating the less expensive way to go. I was able to use stainless steel rods with a LW 15mm and it is solid. My FF is not very good but it will have to do for now. I still need a matte box than can fit this monster lens at 142mm outside.
I have seen a few used Arri that fit, but too expensive. I've gone through $25k in record speed.

Same here, not to mention the pix 240 paid in full in June and still not here .
The Trusmt people nicely reply, they are working on a 140mm Matte box, still too short for my Cooke 20-100mm
I am looking for the O'connor O box with a 150mm opening , no swing away though, I will ask my local "machiniste" to see what he can do as I will use a 19mm to 15mm LW rod support he might be able to make something
I'll post the picture if he can do it

If I am not mistaken O'connor makes a LW adapter. I was looking into it also.

Obox has 15mm built in. That said the OBOX clapms directly onto my 18-100 with no trouble, no rods.....

Not sure if the 20-100 has the same outerfront diameter.
