Extreme Shipping!

All righty, I think those of you taking first shipments, take the load off Disjecta's back :) - put the kids to bed early, tell the wife / girlfriend / signifigant other you've got plans, call work, tell em you have spastic colon, whatever... throw on the lenses and get out and shoot - we wanna see it!
 
I'm trying to figure my place in line since I ordered from LetusDirect.com. Their order numbers are 5 digits, not 3.

Aaron, do the Le brothers ship out the LetusDirect orders, too? Or do they ship them to you first?
 
Fantastic news! Just wish the order numbers weren't different (from adapterplace and letusdirect) so that we could figure out who's was shipping when...ah well, let me echo the wonderful support I've gotten from Hien and Aaron. Can't wait to play with this sometime next week (maybe its a good thing it didn't come this week as my entire weekend will be spent installing Leopard - the other product that has made October a hell of a month to get through) ;)

I got my loonnnnggggg awaited email: my shipping tracking info!!! And I should get my 2 pieces of LEX TOMORROW!!!!!!! YOOOOOOOOPPPPIIII!!!!!!!!!!! I was among the very first peopel who ordered the very first morning the Extreme was made available.

Lucky. Probably going to be waiting a few days for mine ;) Did you order from adapter place or letus direct?

Adapter Place. And I called before I ordered.

Funny thing is, I'm a total newbie and had spent weeks and weeks learning so much about DOF and film adapters, comparing all of them available on the market and making my own judgement on the best based on primarily my instinct and so many different feedback from nunerous forums.

I picked the Letus. That morning, I picked up the phone to order the latest one I saw the night before (the Flip or the XL). When I got to the site I saw there was an "Extreme" choice which I didn't see a few hours before.

So, wanting to have the best thing out there, I decided to call the Le brothers so they can convince me to buy that new model just out. The nI was told I'm problably the first or the 3 rd person who would order this morning since only a couple of people know of the Extreme very existence.

Before they could explain anything else to me, I ordered 2 pieces. I'm so excited. I'm gonna partly skip work tomorrow just to welcome my babies.

I forgot to ship the achromat with your adapters. Can you go to any place and buy one cheap one to use in the mean time. I will send you 1 in a week.

Oh that was good - yeah - maybe Kmart or Costco would have something - just bust one out of a $15 set of binoculars :)

I of course got the email too... I'll have the adapter in my hands tomorrow...
Along with a new cavision shoulder mount, rods, and hand grip. :)

Big Halloween weekend will provide some fun shooting...
Should I go shoot in Vegas or stay in Newport?

Got me there for a second. I thought the achromat was built in. Thats what attracted me to this package
 
Just got my tracking info too. I ordered at 11:00 am on September 24th (letusdirect). I was told I was the second one to order.

Will have mine tomorrow!
 
This was dissussed in a forum earlier somewhere from a prerelease model, I thought they promise to redo the G.G to fix the glow or flare for bright lights? Humm it is showing up again.

Also are the Extreme all shipped with the lens mount seperated? Can't they set it for infinty and mount it before shipping away. Saves the trouble to get it done. I'm sure not everyone has a external HD monitor to set the back focus. He say about using gasket material to set it up in future.

I thought the mounts are done to exact back focus length when it fits on the adapter? It going to be tough to make sure it is parallel against the G.G

Can someone form Letus comment on these problems at hand...
