C300: extra monitor

Was filming out on Desert Road New Zealand last week when my external monitor (Marshall CD70MD) bracket came undone and fell in the creek. It now doesn't work. I was wondering if I should send it in to see if I can get it fix or just buy a new one and if so what is good but won't kill the pocket book? thanks

The ON/OFF switch for the Monitor seems to be stuck in the ON position. there is still a bit of dampness under the glass of the monitor screen.

what would be a good mount bracket for the monitor? The mount came loose during filming. Need to find something that is much stronger so I don't loose another monitor. Thanks

Any solid shoe mount is a good option if you screw it on tightly...some people like to "bolt" the monitor to the camera via other accessories if it's in a cage. It really depends on your configuration and how you shoot and what you're willing to purchase/build.

One way I do it with small mirrorless'/DSLRs is I put the camera on a baseplate with 15mm rods and then mount the monitor on the back on one of these (which locks the monitor in place but it doesn't move in any direction):

Or on a ball head which sits on top of the LanParte piece (a 1/4-20 to 3/8 adapter is necessary with this particular piece):

Similar pieces are much more cheaper than above, but I personally use those two.

They support a 4K signal, but can't confirm anything with the C200...assuming regular monitoring via HDMI is no problem though.

I received the Lilliput A7S 7". I notice that it doesn't show the screen info (settings) that my C300 monitor shows. I wonder if I'm just missing where the switch is to give it a mirror image? On my Marshall monitor it shows the same as what the C300 monitor shows. Any thoughts?

My first thought is you need to change the setting in your camera to send that info through the HDMI, but since your Marshall shows it, it must be on already. So my second thought is there is a button somewhere on the monitor you can use to toggle through display information, and/or a setting in the monitor's menu to turn all of that information on that's being passed through the HDMI.

Most people use a camera's monitor for settings and an external monitor as a clean source with no screen real estate clutter, so it may be 'off' by default.
