What monitor available out there, that is big as the O7Q ?
I'm getting tire of using the FS7 tiny monitor- but don't want to buy another O7Q
when the O7Q is hook up to the FS700 dual cam shooting?

Blackmagic video assist 4K also records ProRes 4k.

Aputure VS-5

Loads of choice and mostly cheap as chips.

does it record 4K ProRes directly from the FS7? SDI or HDMI or both?

Never recorded 4K externally but believe the FS7 only outputs it over HDMI.

AFAIK the Video Assist(s) do not have scopes, & do not support LUTs. If those features are not important to you then they are decent monitors, & the focus peaking works well, though limited to a 'green' overlay.

Recently worked with a SmallHD 702 Bright attached to a ALEXA Mini. Worked great outdoors in direct Sunlight, but even when adjusted seemed a bit too bright when working indoors. Would like to test it again to see if this issue was simply user error.

Started using a Gratical EYE, & want to supplement it with a monitor. Will likely add a SmallHD 502 due it's low power draw, light weight, & relatively tiny footprint.

I would also suggest PIX-E7. I have the E5 and along with being a great monitor - it has great tools (scopes, user loadable LUTs etc) and it can also record ProRes as well as h.264 proxy files simultaneously if needed.

Just a quick question for you Mark, how well does the PIX-E5 work when shooting outdoors on a sunny day? Do you absolutely need a hood? Or is it bright enough to make do? (This is the monitor/recorder that seems to be the absolute best, 60p 4K aside).

Well - similar to the Ody - the glass is very reflective - so even though it's quite bright (I believe 500 NIT) , in my experience, on a full sun kind-of-day, you'll be wanting a hood. Oddly enough, I ended up purchasing the (overpriced) hood for my E5 about a month or so ago, and have not had a shoot since using the monitor outside on a sunny day. :Drogar-Angry(DBG):

Any comments on the WonWoo 10" Li-ION HDMI/SDI for $900 ?

and so far all the monitor out there has one screw hole - no one make a sturdy 15mm rod mount ?
