Exporting for DVD

I am about to export a 15min project I did using my 7d 1080 24fps. I am not sure what compress it for the best quality. Mpeg2 is what keep hearing to use. Thanks.
 
MPEG2 is the compression standard that DVDs have to use. If you can create a file which conforms to the DVD MPEG2 standard straight out of your editing system then you will have the best results because it won't have to be compressed twice, once out of your editing program and then transcoded to MPEG2 DVD format. The image will be as good as you can get and there will be a time saving as well.
